Privacy policy

Minny Price Family Assistant ("Minny", "we", "us") is a private assistant for the members of a single household. It is not offered to the public and has no open sign-up. This policy explains what data Minny handles, why, where it is kept and how to remove it.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to the household members who use Minny and to the Google account connected to her. Anyone can contact us at minnypricefamily@gmail.com about data Minny holds.

Google user data Minny accesses

Minny only reaches accounts the household deliberately connects, and asks for the narrowest access that lets her do the job. The Google access she requests is:

The categories of Google user data accessed are the connected account's email address and identity, Gmail messages and mailbox metadata, Calendar events, Drive files, and Google Sheets spreadsheet content.

• openid, email, userinfo.email — to confirm which Google account is connected and keep her operating on the correct one.
• calendar — to read the household schedule and to create, move or amend appointments when asked.
• gmail.readonly — to read incoming mail so she can identify what needs action or a reply.
• gmail.modify — to label, file, archive and prepare drafts within the mailbox, and to send or modify messages only when the household asks and the applicable household confirmation rules are satisfied.
• drive — to open documents the household asks her to work with.
• spreadsheets — to read and maintain the sheets that hold the household's lists and records.

How Minny uses Google user data

Minny uses Google user data only to provide the household-facing functions listed above and to maintain the security and reliability of those functions.

Minny does not use this access for advertising, profiling, training machine learning models, or any purpose beyond running the assistant for the household that connected the account.

Limited use of Google user data

These commitments apply to raw Google user data and to data that is aggregated, anonymised or derived from it. In particular:

• We use Google user data only to provide or improve the user-facing Minny features described in this policy.
• We do not sell Google user data or transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers, information resellers or surveillance services.
• We do not use or transfer Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalised or interest-based advertising, credit-worthiness or lending.
• We do not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
• We transfer Google user data only where necessary to provide or improve the visible Minny features requested by the household and with its consent; for security purposes; to comply with applicable law; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets after obtaining the user's explicit prior consent.
• Humans do not read Google user data unless the user has affirmatively agreed to access to specific messages, files or other data; access is necessary for security, bug or abuse investigation; access is required by applicable law; or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy law.

Anyone who processes Google user data for Minny, including service providers acting on our behalf, must comply with these requirements.

Other data Minny handles

• Messages sent to and from Minny, including voice notes and their transcripts.
• Household information the members give her — names, routines, contacts, preferences and the details needed to complete a task.
• A record of the actions she has taken, so the household can see what was done.

Where data is kept

Minny runs on a private Hostinger VPS controlled by the operator and located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Household data, including data retrieved from Google, may be stored there. Credentials are kept in protected credential stores and are not intentionally included in application logs.

Sharing, transfer and disclosure of Google user data

We do not share, transfer or disclose Google user data except to the service providers needed to deliver the user-facing Minny functions described here, when the household requests or consents to the function, for security, or when required by applicable law. These service providers may process the data only to provide their contracted service and must protect it.

Running the assistant requires a small number of third-party services. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function:

• Google — to provide the connected Gmail, Calendar, Drive and Sheets services described above.
• WhatsApp — to deliver and receive household messages and voice notes.
• Twilio — to place or receive authorised voice calls.
• OpenAI — to interpret requests, transcribe or produce speech, and draft responses.
• Hostinger — to host the private server on which Minny runs.

We do not sell household data. Limited operational health metadata may be sent to service-monitoring providers when monitoring is enabled; it is designed not to contain message content or Google user data.

Retention and deletion of Google user data

Data retrieved from Google is kept only for as long as it is needed for the task at hand and for the household's own record of what was done. Where Minny stores opted-in conversation text, it is retained for no more than 365 days. Operational records and backups are retained only for household safety, audit and recovery needs. Credentials are removed when access is withdrawn and the disconnection has been processed.

Voice-note audio may be stored temporarily while it is processed. Automated deletion is still being completed and verified, so household users should assume that audio can remain on the private server until it is manually deleted.

Withdrawing access and deleting data

You can disconnect Minny from a Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Doing so immediately stops any further access.

To have the data Minny holds deleted, write to minnypricefamily@gmail.com. We will verify the request, delete data that is not required for security, legal or audit purposes without undue delay, and confirm when the request is complete.

Data protection and security

Google user data is protected through restricted administrative access, access controls, protected credential stores and encrypted network connections when it is transferred between Google, Minny and the service providers needed to deliver a requested feature. Credentials are not intentionally included in application logs. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected household members promptly if we become aware of a breach involving their data.

Children

Minny is used within a family and may hold information about the children of that household, provided by their parents. It is not directed at children, and children do not connect accounts to it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above, and tell the household if the change is significant.
